Prof. Yongho Shiwoh Louis was born on April 4, 1978. He is a well-known Cameroonian academic, computer science engineer, researcher, and education technology specialist. He has over twenty years of experience.
He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Madison Hill University in the USA. His research focused on using ICT in education and building digital resilience. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Management OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow with the University of Management Tsibi in Russia.
Throughout his career, Prof. Yongho has promoted the use of technology to improve teaching and learning. He is committed to innovation in education.
Prof. Yongho has held many leadership roles in higher education and research organizations.
At Kesmonds International University, he served as Vice Rector for Research and Innovation. He was also Director of the Kesmonds Research Institute and Director of Academic Affairs. He sat on the central administrative board, where he oversaw research and publications.
He also serves as Vice Dean at African Union University International. There, he teaches advanced IT courses, develops academic programmes, and supervises graduate research.
He is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bamenda. He has taught at several higher institutions across Cameroon, helping to train future professionals in science and technology.
He also leads the Research Department for the Poma Universities and Colleges Consortium. He coordinates doctoral programmes at the Dylet International Bible Institute.
These roles have given him a deep understanding of academic leadership, institutional development, research management, and quality assurance.
Prof. Yongho’s research interests match the vision of ISEST.
His work focuses on key areas that will shape the future of education and technology in Africa. These include Educational Technology, Artificial Intelligence, ICT in Education, Digital Literacy, Blended Learning, Sustainable Technologies, STEM Education, and Digital Inclusion.
He studies how new technologies can improve access to education, enhance learning, and support sustainable development in African communities.
He is a strong supporter of technology-driven change. He contributes to discussions on digital innovation, education policy, and the future of learning.
Prof. Yongho is also a productive researcher and author.
He has written several books and published more than eighteen peer-reviewed articles in respected international journals. His work covers Information Technology, Education, Management, Banking, and Leadership Studies.
He serves on the editorial board of the IQ Research Journal. In this role, he helps promote high-quality research and academic scholarship worldwide.
His dedication to research supports ISEST’s goal of becoming a centre for innovation and knowledge creation.
